strange weather...

Yesterday was one of the strangest weather days I have seen in a while. The early morning hours were strangely warm, almost 70 degrees. As the hours progressed, the wind picked up and was blowing so hard it rattled the roof above my classroom! Some of the children became startled when the rain started coming down in sheets (for about 10 minutes) along with the howling wind. Around noon, the wind calmed and the temperature dropped gradually down into the low 50's. By last night, some areas had downed trees and a few of my co-workers reported hail at their homes. Next week, the weather man says we may have some of the coldest weather we have seen in a long while..maybe even snow! Strange, strange weather!

  1. We had the same thing here in SC - it was WEIRD! I don't think we are going to get any snow this year though unless we have a really cold snap. That kind of stinks... :(

  3. The weather has been weird here in Mn too. We started getting snow and below zero temp early this year. I believe we even made a new record with snowfall. I can't wait until summer.

  4. That is strange. I like some exciting weather. It's been boring around here lately. I just got our gas bill and can do without those freezing temps though!
